Lahore Campus celebrated 6th and 11th September
Following the tradition, Pak Turk Lahore Campus’ teachers prepared students for 6th and 11th September . On 6th September students from different classes prepared speeches and milli songs. In speeches students paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in order to protect their homeland. On 11th September students paid homage to the Father of the Nation. Parents appreciated the school as well as the teachers who are not only participating in character building activities but also celebrate national days.
PakTurk Student of Lahore Branch Tops in Int’l Kangaroo Mathematics Contest 2008 at Punjab Level.
 Mansoor Rashid student of O level class in PakTurk International Schools & Colleges, Lahore Campus achieved the best results in; 4th INTERNATIONAL KANGAROO MATHEMATICS CONTEST 2008 (18th International Kangaroo Olympiad) According to the results, Mansoor Rashed got First Position in Punjab and was declared top 12 Best Students in Maths in all over Pakistan among 4478 students.
Parents of the Campers Met Before Summer Camp
On july 5, 2008, Parents of the Summer Campers met at Islampura Campus. Time Table, timing and other all detail was givento them.Mostly parents have opted English and Computer subject(optiona subject). all suggestions were also taken from the parenrs. Writing letters to parents and taking interviews activity is also appreciated by all. For taking guidance period parents are asked for. We are hopefull that all 20 periods og Guidance will be taken by the Parents of the campers. we need everyone`s well wishes that may Allah make our effort successful.Amen

Annual Night 2008
  On 6th May,o8 Lahore Campus had Annual Night Function. This function inculcated awareness that curricular and extra curricular activities are part and parcel. Chief guest Mr Abdul Shakoor Anjum (EDO Education) and director Of Pak Turk School Mr Turgut Puyan appreciated and was over whelmed to see the excitement and perfection of students. Chief guest said that the inter_ country cultural relation need to be enhanced and cultural information need to be shared. Students presented skits, milli songs and stage excellent performances and received applauses from audience. Later , the chief guest of the ceremony Abdul Shakoor Anjum along with the principal Mr Adem AKGEDIK and director Mr Turgat awarded prizes to the students. Children’s Day
 On 23rd April,08 Lahore Campus's students celebrated children’s day. Students had a party in their classes They decorated their classes on their own. Students did speeches and dramas highlighted their rights and exceptions from elders. One of the girls of class 5 performed duties as vice principal of school and shared her views with other students It was a fun day for students.

Visit to Children Complex and Puppet show
 On 26th February, o8 Junior Section of Lahore Branch visited the Children’s Complex. Students were really excited about their trip. They visited different sections of the complex. They were enthralled to see the magic and puppet show. Then they visited the science and computer sections. Later on the students spent some time in the library as well. They were really fascinated to see so many different books on wide ranging topics. Students who are interested in sports & games also got the opportunity to play foot ball and volley ball during the visit. See more pictures
Meeting With Chief editor of Nawa-e-Waqt
 PakTurk Int’l Schools And colleges Lahore Campus ‘s class 5 girls Zara Sajid and Warda Adil visited The Nation’s office on 27th March and gave presentations in conjunction with the celebration of ‘Pakistan Day’. Both the student’s essays were not only selected for ‘The Phool’ but also they got a chance of meeting the chief editor of ‘The Nation’ Mr Mujib Nizami along with their vice principal Ms Naureen Khalid. Fun Fair 2008
PakTurk Int’l Schools and Colleges Lahore campus had its annual funfair on Sunday 16th March,08. It was a fun filled day. The day’s celebrations began at 10.00 a.m in the morning and they lasted till 6.00 p.m, The high lights f the day were various color ful stalls set up by mothers, teachers and the professionals. The visitors showed extraordinary interest in Turkish as well as Pakistani food and dress stalls. Children’s painting and other art work were also exhibited on one of the stalls. The children were particularly interested in horse riding, puppet and monkey show. Fast food and bar_ b_ que proved to be the most popular food among the visitors once again .
First Ever workshop
 The first ever workshop for junior section was conducted on 9th September ‘ 07 by the vice principal Ms Naureen, the Topic was “The first encounter between the teachers and the students”.
Mothers’ cooking competition
During October,07 Lahore Campus arranged a cooking competition for mothers. Every mother brought a prepared dish. 3 mothers assumed the responsibilities of adjudicating the competition. Mothers really appreciated the school’s effort.
Sohbat for non teaching staff
During month of February, 08 Vice principal of the junior section Ms Naureen conducted a sohbat for non teaching staff. In that seminar she gave lecture on importance of moral values, truthfulness, cleanliness and that of following the right path.
Workshop for Teachers
Lahore Campus arranged a workshop for the teachers on 8th of March 2008. Mr. Nadeem (University of Birmingham) conducted the workshop. The topic was “Creating awareness among teachers regarding informal aspects of action research”. He explained various aspects & dimensions of action research so that the teachers could make use of this technique. He was of the viewpoint that this would make their teaching more reflective apart from introducing them to more effective and attractive learning and teaching strategies.
Milad of Class K-G Pink, K-G Red and Class One-A
On 27th march milad function was arranged for both the sections of KG and class one -A. Students, teachers and mothers participated in the function. Students and mothers` participation made this milad a success. Salam and dua was done at the end of the function. More three milads like this are expected.

Two Pakturk Students’ Prizes And Shields Are Given By City District Nazim H.E.Mian Amer Mahmood
 Inam-ul Haq, student of class ten(10) Pakturk international schools and colleges Lahore main campus got bronze medal in international turkish language competition, held in turkey in June 2007 in which 550 students participated from 105 countries. Competition committee awarded Inam-ul Haq with bronze medal and 1000 $ cash prize. 63000 rs is equal to 1000$ and shield presented to the student by city district Nazim H.E.Mian Amer Mahmood. ELECTION REPORT
 Unprecedented fervor and excitement is being witnessed now_ a days among students od PakTurk Lahore branch & that is not without a reason. PakTurk Int’l Schools and Colleges Lahore branch is going to have its first popularly elected Head boy & Deputy head boy with in one week. The election campaign kicked off on 3rd March,08 and would last till 6th March, 08. Voting would be held on Friday 7th March, 08.
Art,Science and Fun Fair at Islampura Campus
 Islampura Branch announces the date of Art, Science and Fun Fair. This activity will be arranged on 8th and 9th March 2008. It will be consisting of Cultural Corners, Science Modals, Turkish and Pakistani Handi Crafts, Turkish and Pakistani Food, Live Music, Industrial Stalls and a lot of other stalls. We invite all our friends and colleagues to come join us for this fair . 
Mathematics competition in Junior Section
PakTurk In t’l Schools and Colleges had a Mathematics competition on 14th February, 08. Students of class 4 and 5 participated in it. There were three teams and each team comprised of 2 students. The winner had to be decided through the sudden death rule as by the end of the specified rounds, two of the teams emerged as winner by securing equal marks. The winner team was awarded with gifts. It was a thoroughly learning experience for all the students.
Seminars of Pre and Junior Section Teachers
Lahore Campus recently arranged seminars for parents. On 9th February, o8 Ms Madiha Fayyaz of class 2 conducted a seminar on children psychology. She highlighted the need to understand child psychology & elaborated the ways & means that parents may use for dealing with their children in different situations. She also briefed them about preferable behavior patterns that should be adopted with the children. On 23rd February Ms Surwat of Pre Section conducted a seminar on absorbent mind. She discussed with the parents the importance of brain. She told them how does a brain work and how can we train our children.
Sohbat for Mothers
Islampura Branch continued Mothers` Gathering in the second term also. Every Moday more than twelve mothers attend this gathering. Some Urdu translated books ,sent by Harmony Publications have been used for these gatherings.Everybody is appreciating these gatherings as they provide us an opportunity to sit and discuss matters.

Meeting with class mom’s
All the teachers have selected class mom’s from their classes. The representative mothers would help the school administration in conducting different programs and undertaking varied activities. By virtue of taking this step the school administration wants to encourage active participation of pupils’ mothers in different activities. On 14th January 08 the school arranged meeting with selected mothers. Vice principal of junior section Mrs Naureen Khalid and Mrs Esra Ozer conducted that meeting. Mothers appreciated this step & reiterated their resolve to make this effort fruitful.
PAKTURK STUDENT IS AMONG THE BEST 12 BRAIN IN PAKISTAN
 PAKTURK Int’l Schools and Colleges Lahore Campus always tries to encourage students participation in inter branch as well as national level. National Math’s Olympiad’s was held recently in which schools from all over Pakistan participated. Students of PakTurk Int’l Lahore Campus also participated in that competition. The team was supervised by Mr Ozer and Mr Mehmet( Math’s teachers) Out of 432 students 52 were selected.2 students M. Arshad(M2) and M.Javaid(M2) of Lahore Campus have indeed represented their school aptly in first Math’s Olympiad. In the second Math’s Olympiad M. Arshad was eliminated. M. Javaid was selected and he would represent his school in the third round now.We wish him all the best and we are really proud of him that he has shown such brilliance in such a tough national level competition.
Volley Ball Tournament
PAK TURK Int’l Schools and Colleges Lahore Campus arranged a volley ball tournament in school. All classes from senior section participated in it. It was held during 2nd and 3rd week of January . Teams from all senior classes played against each other. Class 7 and Metric qualified for the final. Class Metric played their heart out and at the end came out as the winner of the tournament. They received the trophy by the principal Mr Adam Akgedik.

>> For more pictures The 2008 Intel National Science Olympiad held in collaboration with Intel Education Initiative and Ministry of Education, Govt. of Pakistan took place in Islamabad at National Library Complex on 28-31 January 2008 where PAKTURK Educational Institutions left their indelible impact of outstanding achievement among 120 science research projects. Out of total 15 award categories (10 as individual and 5 as team), PAKTURK International Schools & Colleges reserved 5 individual awards in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Mathematics and Physics.
Activities on Saturdays
In order to encourage the participation of students of PakTurk Int’l Schools and Colleges in co curricular activities. The school administration has arranged the following range of activities. This step is expected to provide the students with ample opportunities of physical and mental growth. As we all know that participation in hobbies and sports teach valuable virtues that contribute greatly to personality development. School has offer Activities like horse riding, painting, dramatics and aerobics.
Work Shop For English Language Teachers
PakTurk Int’I Schools and Colleges Lahore Campus arranged a workshop for English Language Teachers during November 07. School invited Mrs Sadia Kashif. She explained to the teachers the general strategies and techniques of effective teaching. She focused on exam taking technique for O_Level English paper in particular. That was really an informative workshop for teachers.

6. DILSET Turkish Olympiads' First Step Competition held in Lahore!
 A group of students from each branch of the Pak Turk Int'l Schools, participated the 6th National Dilset Turkish Language Competition. A distinct panel of Judges evaluated the competition.
CLEANLINESS WALK ALONG SANT NAGAR ROAD, ISLAMPURA
In order to emphasize the importance of cleanliness, PAKTURK Islampura Branch arranged a symbolic walk along the road in front of the school campus. Principal Mr.Abdulgani Gulmez, Vice-Principal Miss Mahira Khawaja, teachers, parents and students also participated in the walk. Nazim of the Area UC82 too participated in the walk.

ORANGE COLOUR & FRUIT DAY AT ISLAMPURA BRANCH
All students of Pre-Section came in Orange-colour dresses; they brought orange balloons with them along with flowers in orange colour. For Fruit Day celebrations they brought seasonal fruits with themselves. Class Teachers decorated their classes with balloons and flowers. Teachers enlightened their students on the nutritious value of fruits and emphasized the fact why they should prefer fruits to eating chips, jellies and other junk food. It was a very exciting day with class activities and different games. Students were in extremely happy mood; teachers took pictures of their classes in their beautiful dresses.

CLEANLINESS WEEK
 Children need to be taught the importance of cleanliness, so for this purpose Lahore Campus celebrated the “Cleanliness Week”, during which children participated in many activities such as Pre-Nursery’s ‘Body Cleanliness Tray’. This made them realize which things do they need to keep their bodies clean. In Nursery and K.G., children rearranged the toy room and put the modular furniture and toys back to their places. Children also cleaned their classes by themselves and arranged the books on the shelves. Junior Section students supported the weeks with a number of skits on the virtues and advantages of cleanliness.
TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION
 ‘Effective teachers are like candles: they consume themselves to light the way for others.’ Lahore Campus felicitated “Teachers Day” on October 5, 2007. Students of Pre-School designed and handicrafted cards with the help of their teachers. The cards were later presented to the teachers and that was how they collectively wished them a ‘HAPPY TEACHERS DAY’.
SEMINARS FOR PARENTS
Pre- and junior school Education System  Pre-School teachers held a seminar for parents of the Pre-School students. The seminar titled, “Pre-School Education System at PakTurk” manifested teachers' discussions with the parents on the importance of pre-school education in the lives of their children. Teachers explained to the parents why a prepared environment was necessary for a child of 2 ½ years and onwards. Parents were also briefed about the role of a teacher as a facilitator in the life of a child. Teachers made brief introductions to all subject-titles as per the Montessori system of education. In addition, Pre-School teachers demonstrated the use of various educational materials designed in line with the Montessori teaching and explained the philosophy for each material. Junior Section too held a seminar for parents where teachers explained what was expected of parents so as to improve their children’s performance and how they could lend a helping to the teachers in doing so. Teachers discussed the techniques adopted in classroom and also made parents realize how much a successful school year depended on the cooperative efforts of parents, teachers and the students themselves. It was emphasized that each member of this team were to fulfill his or her own responsibilities and should allow the other members to fulfill theirs.
VISITS TO THE BADSHAHI MOSQUE AND THE CITY ZOO
 On November 22, 2007, Pre-School visited the Badshahi Mosque as part of an educational trip. A guide briefed the children about the historical and religious importance of the mosque. Children were happy and rather surprised to see such a vast mosque. The purpose of this educational trip was to keep the children in touch with their religion and history. On November 29, students of Class 1-3 went to the City Zoo as part of an educational trip. Students enjoyed to see a large number of animals and they learnt a lot by asking questions about those animals.
IQBAL DAY
 Lahore Campus held on November 9, 2007 a special function to commemorate and pay homage to “the poet of the East” and "the Spiritual Founder of Pakistan," Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal, the Poet Laureate of Pakistan. Students enacted Iqbal's poetry through a number of tableaux.
KINDERGARTEN'S ANNUAL CLASS FUNCTION
Students of PakTurk Kindergarten celebrated the Annual Class Function on November 3, 2007. Punjab Sports Association General Secretary, Mr S.Attiq-ur-Rehman and Principal Govt Higher Secondary School For Girls Dev Samaj Rd, Mrs Rubina Kausar honoured the programme as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. The Chief Guest appreciated the outstanding performance of the students and congratulated the teachers. Among the audience were the parents and a number of other distinctive guests, who enjoyed to see the children's heartfelt and hope-inspiring performances.

On November 22, 2007 Mr Ahmet Kester, HoD Early Childhood and Primary Education - Principal Islamabad Junior Campus visited the PakTurk Islampura Branch where he inspected the activites, gave his comments and guided the teaching faculty for future planning. Having appreciated The Third Eye Exhibition at the Islampura Branch, Mr Kester further encouraged teachers and the School Administration for more Third Eye Exhibition Ideas.

ISLAMPURA BRANCH CELEBRATES HEALTH & CLEANLINESS WEEK
 In line with the annual schedule of the School Health Club, PakTurk Islampura Branch celebrated the month of November as the Cleanliness Month. Especially during the last week of November, through various tailor-made activities such as the three-day seminars delivered by Dr Nasir for Class 1-5, students were advised and enlightened about the ways to keep and maintain their good health. In addition, Dr Nasir conducted health-checks on students and for some specific health problems he prescribed medicines and suggested parents to refer students to respective treatment centres. Informative health tips along with a number of printed matter on health and cleanliness were distributed. School Administration wholeheartedly thanks Dr Nasir for his precious guidance and kindness to spare time with students at the PakTurk Islampura Branch.

Junior Section Parents Teacher Conference in Islampura Branch
Held to inform parents about the progress of their children in studies, the Parent- Teacher Conference at the Islampura Branch was well received by a large number of participants. The core of the Conference was on information about the implementation and weekly distribution of Performance Assessment Sheets which gauge students' subject-wise performance. Drawing data from a custom-made student-marking database, students' results were compiled from weekly marksheets and later were assigned personal remarks on subject-performance, class average, individual average, homework schedule and forthcoming intramural/inter-school activities.
Weekly Performance Assessment Sheets has been received with full zest and appreciation by parents and students, who found them to be indispensable to monitor ongoing educational progress.

PAKTURK ICEF Executives' Visit to Lahore Branches
 Mr. Kamil Ture, PAKTURK ICEF Director Education and Mr. Fesih CELIK, PAKTURK ICEF Managing Director visited Islampura Branch on November 20, 2007. Having witnessed the impressive outcome of the recent projects and the success of the curricular and extracurricular at the school, Mr Ture and Mr Celik voiced their appreciation for students' and teachers' heartfelt efforts. Islampura Branch's Third Eye Exhibition, which is a unique social-awareness-through-visuals programme spearheaded by PAKTURK ICEF schools across Pakistan, was found extremely successful and inspiring by Mr Ture and Mr Celik, who also commended school administrators highly on their implementation of Dr Allama Iqbal's thoughts onto inspiring visuals.

IQBAL'S THOUGHT THROUGH ART
  PakTurk Islampura Branch celebrated 130th Birthday of Dr.Muhammad Illama Iqbal with a Third Eye Exhibition. It helped us in making simple the thought of Iqbal. Iqbal`s verses were depicted through paintings. A seminar was arranged also. Prof. Shafique Ajmi from G.C University and Saeed Akhtar Bodla a renowned celighrapgher delivered lecture on the ocassion.

Language Placement Test(s) (LAPLATEST)
 Designed to bolster Class 6 students’ language proficiency and to provide periodical check on their educational progress, Language Placement Test(s) in English, Urdu and Turkish are applied twice a year in November and April. Third Annual English Speech Competition in Islampura Branch
Following its tradition English Department arranged 3rd Annual Speech Competition for Class One to Five . More than 25 students participated in this competition. The Topic wsa ``Why I Love Jinnah``. Parents of the participants were invited for the occasion. Head Teachers from Class One-A to Class Five were the judges. The programme was hosted by The Head of English Department. First four position holders were given trophies.

Our 2 Math’s projects got same marks and both of them announced as “Best in Category” in group projects category. And also our Computer project is awarded with same award.
Intel Education Contest for Schools:
 Our 3 student teams are participating Intel Education Contest-Divisional Science Olympiad in Children Library on 29-30-31 October. (The parents can visit and support them.) Colour day :
On Friday ,28th September ,a colour day was arranged in Pre -Section. Every student brought balloons along flowers.Students were happy and teachers were in entertaining mood. Every class was being decorated with balloons and flowers. Different activities like “haring meal” were done to make them indulge in “hide n seek” and play time in the ground. This was the first colour day of the new session.

Students` Aftaar Programme
 On Wednesday 3rd October Class Four and Five Head Teachers arranged an Aftar Party for their respective classes. Students of both the classes were invited. Teachers along with students arranged one dish party for the occasion. Pizza ,Dates and drinks were offered to all guests from the School side.
IFTAR PARTY AT ISLAMPURA BRANCH
 In the sacred month of Ramdan, school arranged an Iftar party for all the teachers and their parents. Invitations were given for the ocassion. Mr. Turgut Puyan (educational director), Mr. Yaqoob (Former Principal PAKTURK Islampura Branch), Mr. & Mrs. Gokhan, Mr. & Mrs. Taner (Former Vice Principal PAKTURK Islampura Branch) also attended the Iftar party. Principal Mr. Abdul Gani and Vice-Principal Miss Mahira welcomed all the guests.
Inter School Speech Competition at Al-Azmat School Lhr
 Al-Azmat Foundation School invited PAKTURK for Speech , Song and Quiz Competitions on September 2007. The Topic was 14th August and 6th September. Our students participated in the competition and won good positions for the school.
